apparently the truth doesn't include adding

tbh i played untill a bit after mid round before quitting for vacation, but im 200% positive i didnt saw more then 40ish peeps online ( sometimes even less ) in our mini-priv channel, every day.
so that 96 number is just when the odds changed a bit for mini ( again ) from worse to even worser ...
luckely we had most of our core playing wich kept us on feet, but against the numbers at late state of round, its no wonder we pulled a few to 96, altough i think its utter BS, as i logged in now and then @irc and still never saw more then 40 in priv channel @nearly round end aswell.

in either case, i never saw an alliance having so many incomings through the whole round as we did now,and i dont believe 1 single word that we had more "available" ships/players at any point of the round ...

anyway this was one of the best rounds and closest ones, so i think we all should stop bitching and look back at a quite funny round ...

U.D.O., the German metal band fronted by former ACCEPT frontman Udo Dirkschneider, is currently in the studio recording the follow-up to 2007's "Mastercutor", tentatively titled "Dominator". An August 21 release via AFM Records is expected. A limited-edition single, "Infected", will precede the full-length CD on June 26. The single will be released as a limited edition of 2,222 pieces worldwide and will include the title track, two non-album cuts, a remix and a live song. On the same day U.D.O. will play at the Bang Your Head!!! festival in Balingen, Germany as a co-headliner. A listening/signing session will also take place at the festival.

Although his technique was lacking, Fang was fully aware of the fact that a single impact from one of those hamfists could crumple him like one of Horrigan's doilies. Even if he did survive, there was the prospect of being caught unconcious with "the new Horrigan". Luckily, He didn't have much time to think about it, because Horrigan threw another punch.

Democracy like all other political systems are mirages of each other. Elements of every system can be found in any other system whether it be communism or a democracy even at the extremes. At the end of the day, it's about which system works for a culture and people. Just because a ship has leaks, it doesn't necessarily mean you change ship after its sailed. Why? there may not be a ship suitable enough for the passengers, if any at all. Wouldn't you just fix the leaks? Imagine if we were to change ship and find the alternative had fundamental flaws (meaning the new ship was made of the wrong materials, had leaks, had poor workmanship under that shiny exterior etc) because the person(s) that advised the change actually didn't do their due diligence.

The Captain of our kalia is very new in his role but hasn't he been trained all his life to be the Captain? likewise a navigator, aren't they trained all their lives to be navigators? Correct me if I'm wrong, you don't become a General unless you been a soldier? One of the central issues in this entire debate is that you have people who are deckhands trying to become Captain or navigator. How can we as people even trust those people when they don't have the skills? First, identify who has the skills, experience and integrity to be a Captain before you throw the baby out with the bath tub or else you end up in a situation worse than before.

I’ll be honest, the first time I turned on the television and saw a man in full body pads rocketing 15 feet into the air to dunk a basketball into a padded rim on a court surrounded by plexiglass, I laughed. I didn’t know how else to react, the only thing I could think to do is laugh like an idiot while I continued to stare at the television. I couldn’t believe my eyes. Then another man picked up the ball and started dribbling toward the opposite side of the court, only to be met with a forearm shiver from an opposing player that almost knocked him clean off his feet. After that, all it took was one mid-air collision between two players and I was hooked. SLAMBALL had captured everything that I loved about the game of basketball, and combined it with the brutality and force every player wishes they could project on an opposing player on that court. It introduced an entirely new aerial influence to the game, highlighting the grace and finesse that captivates an audience. It turned a relatively harmless and non-physical game into a dangerous, extreme sport that demands toughness unmatched in any other sport. SLAMBALL instantly put that smile back on my face. I felt like a kid again, giddy and excited for something that could give me an experience like nothing else in the sporting world. I was hooked. And I still am."

The Egyptian Lover started out as a D.J. in Los Angeles with Uncle Jamms Army doing dances at the L.A. Sports Arena. He began recording around Los Angeles in 1982 as a member of the Radio Crew. In the early days of hip hop, albums were rare, so most of The Egyptian Lover's successful recordings were 12" singles. He would eventually release some of the earliest rap LPs, which was especially unique for being west-coast based, but they were less popular than his singles. But on the strength of containing an alternate mix of his most popular single "Egypt, Egypt", 1984's On the Nile was moderately successful. After a break in the early 1990s, Egyptian Lover returned in 1994 (see 1994 in music) with Back from the Tomb. His last full-length album in over ten years. Although his own version is more unfamiliar to modern ears than the newer covers of the song, Egyptian Lover's "I Need a Freak" has subsequently become "Lolafalana" popularized by Esham, and more notably, "Cherry Pie" by Insane Clown Posse.

How do I describe thee? He's the same "type" as Mr. Scorpio but just a UK version. Ok, maybe not. And maybe I shouldn't put a type on anyone. He doesn't smile as often and shaved his head bald. But he looks just as great in a suit. He's packaged - BIG. EVERYTHING about this man is big and solid = a young woman's security. I'm not only referring to body type And I could kick myself for being this shallow. It's been a very long long time.

So, Why am I drinking.... again? Why am I loving the single life, I didn't expect?

After Saturday's date with The Hammer, I vowed to give dating a rest and focus on my spiritual growth. It is the reason why I ended my last relationship - to grow spiritually. I'm finding it frustrating dating outside that spiritual box. Actually, I haven't necessarily begun to date inside that box. Yikes!

Somewhere between the martinis and the kata loi, I excused myself and had a meeting in the ladies room. I've learned that if you're out with a far from awesome date, the women in the ladies room tend to be more friendlier, comforting and wanting to know all about Mr. Not-So-Right. I'm always hesitant to participate in such flighty discussions. . . but when the lady with the pretty blue marilyn dress, smiled at me in the mirror and said, "you're not having a good time. And it shows," I confessed.

I confessed to not knowing if I was crazy. Earlier that day, I had played my voicemails on speaker while shaving and my cousin stopped to be fieilo. It was his voice that concerned her, "who is that? That voice reminds of someone...." She looked me straight in the eyes with raised eyebrows, "don't go." She would text me later that evening with one word - Hannibal. I've visited hel.l many a times - I was neither intimidated nor scared.

Another red flag alert that day, my bestfriend found out I was going to get to know The Hammer outside of our group atmosphere. Why I never bothered to tell her about him, I don't know. Maybe because I already knew he was EVERYTHING wrong for me. I should have known better. Especially, when she said, "I'd rather be home alone, depressed and miserable watching Brady Bunch re-runs all weekend. . ." Ouch!

So, I'm back to dating men whom I discovered in my mid 20's... somewhere between losing my virginity and my heart, I had promised to not to waste any more time on the "him" types again. Yeah, I'm still twenty-something but old habits die and resurrect. I had not become an emotional beggar........this was something deep in my soul that was tasting satisfaction. This is my guilty pleasure. The dark, mysterious power figure with a beautiful chiseled face.... he's fascinating and we're all intrigued. This darkness will just not leave me alone. So why am I waiting in vain for his love. . . again?

Obrońca Janne Niinimaeae pokłócił się z trenerem Raimo Summanenem i opuścił reprezentację Finlandii, uczestnicząca w rozgrywkach o Puchar Świata w hokeju na lodzie.

"Jego decyzję traktujemy jako godną politowania, ale teraz skoncentrujmy się na turnieju" - napisała fińska gazeta "Iltalehti", podkreślając, iż drużyna narodowa znajduje się w kryzysie. Dziennikarze ponadto postawili pytanie, jak długo trener Summanen pozostanie na swoim stanowisku.
Bezpośrednim powodem nieporozumienia była podobno wypowiedź trenera po remisowym 4:4 meczu ze Szwecją (Finowie dwukrotnie prowadzili różnicą dwóch bramek), iż nie wszyscy zawodnicy w tym spotkaniu grali twardo i "powinni coś z tym zrobić, by się przebudzić". Erkka Westerlund named as Interim Heach Coach:

The Finnish Association named Erkka Westerlund as the interim Finnish National Team head coach on Monday, November 11. Westerlund, who replaces recently-released Raimo Summanen, will lead the team during the upcoming Karjala Cup.

Westerlund has a long relationship with the Finnish Association. Most recently, he served as the Finnish U20 head coach from 2001-03, winning bronze twice. He has also worked with the Finnish U18 and U16 teams and was also an assistant coach on Summanen's staff at the 2004 World Cup of Hockey.

Westerlund will be assisted at the Karjala Cup by Hannu Virta. The General Manager of the team will be Jari Kurri and Timo Jutila will remain as the Team Manager.

The Finnish Association will make further coaching decisions for its Men's national team following the Karjala Cup.

Raimo Summanen Fired by Finland

The Finnish Ice Hockey Association announced on Wednesday, October 27, that Raimo Summanen was relieved of his duties as the Finnish national team head coach. The announcement came only two weeks before the Karjala Cup, the major international tournament organized by the Finnish association.

Finnish Ice Hockey Association President Kalervo Kummola, cited co-operation within the management of the national team as the reason for relieving Summanen.

"The results under Raimo were great. I must judge the World Cup (second place) as high as the World Championship victory in 1995. But otherwise the project with Summanen leading the group just did not work. There was not a single reason to the decision to fire him. The situation just grew bad and we had to do something to get back to the normal routines.

"This was one of the saddest days for me in Finnish hockey," said Kummola at the press conference. I have to carry the responsibility. I was the one who wanted him."

Summanen told Finnish media on Wednesday that he had no problems with assistant coach Jari Kurri, but admitted frictions between him and Timo Jutila, the manager of the national team.

Summanen's stay with the national team started in 2003. This season he coached Finland to a sixth-place finish at the IIHF World Championship in Prague and a surprising second-place finish in the World Cup of Hockey, losing a close final game to Canada, 3-2.

Summanen found himself at the center of controversy during the World Cup of Hockey when defenseman Janne Niinimaa abruptly left the team mid-tournament due to what was reported as conflicts with the coaching staff.

Summanen also worked with the Finnish U18 team during the 1996-97 season.

No replacement has been named by the Finnish Association.

Skáldkonur (“women skalds”). A first perusal of the Standard 20th-century collections of skaldic poetry (Finnur Jónsson 1912-15, Kock 1946-50) is likely to lead the reader to conclude that the corpus of preserved poetry in Old Icelandic attributable to women poets
(skáldkonur) is rather small. However, this first impression can be altered somewhat by tracing the verses in Finnur Jónsson`s and Kock`s collections back to their original saga environments. It then becomes clear, for instance, that a sizable amount of the dream verse
And prophetic fragments in Sturlunga saga was attributed to women, or that that pithy epigram labeled “Fragment” in the modern editions was originally attributed to Bróka-Auđr
in Laxdoela saga. Finnur Jónsson`s and Kock`s editions can thus be sifted to yield the following: (1) eight pre-Christian Norwegian and Icelandic skáldkonur, cited in the konungassögur, Íslendingasögur, and related þaettir , (2) eight Icelandic skáldkonur of the Sturlung Age (13 th century); (3) eleven additional early skáldkonur from the Íslendingasögur
and þaettir , but of more doubtful authenticity than those of the first group; and (4) a number
of shield-maidens, witches, and troll-women cited as reciting verse in various legendary sagas.
In connection with lists of this sort, however, we should bear in mid that all of the surviving skaldic poetry, whether attributed to men or women, probably represents only a small, random
portion of the total amount of skaldic poetry composed during the Middle Ages.
The eight skáldkonur of the first group mentioned above were active in the 10th century and the first half of the 11th.The poetry of this period was dominated by the complex dróttkvaett
(“court meter”) style, and all of the compositions of these eight skáldkonur, with the possible
exception of two kviđlingar (epigrams, too short to classify), where composed in that meter.
The earliest three of these skáldkonur, Jórunn skáldmaer (“skald-maid”), Hildr Hrólfsdóttir, and Gunnhildr konungamóđir (“king’s mother”), were Norwegians, tied to various kings by obligations of family, or perhaps fealty ( in Jórunn`s case). They were probably active in court
circles, where dróttkvaett had become the fashionable mode of expression; accordingly, the subjects of their poetry reflected events of interest at court. The remaining five women poets
in this first group were Icelanders. Their poetic commentaries on errant husbands or lovers
( by Bróka-Auđr, Thórhildr skáldkona, and Steingerđr Thorkelsdóttir ), satires on Christian missionaries (by Steinun Refsdóttir ), and exhortations addressed to lukewarm avengers (by
Thuríđr Óláfsdóttir ) may have been noncourtly in theme, but they were no less elegant as examples of the dróttkvaett style than the poetry of the first three.
The eight skáldkonur of the second group are all known from Surlunga saga. One of them,
Steinvör Sighvatsdóttir (á Keldum), is also listed elsewhere, in the Skáldatal, as being a professional skald in the pay of the Norwegian chieftain Gautr Jónsson (á Mel).
However, the extant half-stanza (vísuhelmingr ) by her is not a poem in praise of Gautr, but a
poetic vision, as are all but one of the compositions in this group. The skáldkona is portrayed
as having a dream or a vision, or seeing an apparition, in connection with which she experiences the poetry, which she recites upon awakening or coming out of the trance.
Many of these poetic fragments are tinged with the ghostliness characteristic of Icelandic
folklore down to the present day. All but one of these poetic visions are doom prophecies presaging one of the great climaxes of Sturlunga saga, the fall of Sturla Sighvatsson at the
battle of Örlygsstađir in 1238. Their style is chant-like and simple, using eddic meters, such
as fornyrđislag and galdralag, rather than dróttkvaett. The longest of them, eight stanzas of dream verse by the sixteen-year-old Jóreiđr Hermundardóttir (í Miđjumdal), constitutes the largest body of poetry by a single historically attestable woman that survives in Old Norse literature.
